I started going to AOD shortly after my leg was amputated at the hip. I knew this was going to be a difficult journey but I never imagined that AOD would work so hard to make this an easy process. They went above and beyond to help me with insurance and to make sure that the prosthetic fit as perfect as it could. Because of Myra and Imelda I am walking with my prosthetic and my doctor is impressed as to how well it is going. I don’t know where I would be without them. I would highly recommend AOD.

Prior to me joining the AOD team as a patient, I had been involved with a couple of prosthetic companies as a patient. Neither were anything to get too excited about, and they didn’t meet my expectations when it came to finding a professional, loyal, and honest prosthetic company.

These are three very important things to me when on the search. AOD has met all three very important qualities that I look for in a prosthetic company. The AOD team has the ability to demonstrate hero class patient relations from the time you have your first consultation all the way up until the prosthetic is delivered. In fact, they go further than that and make sure you are taken care of the entire time you are a patient. Upon receiving my two arm Prosthetics the AOD team was able to find me and inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital to gain knowledge, and become more functionable when wearing my prosthesis.

I was at an inpatient hospital for 10 days, the AOD team visited me quite frequently, and show their concern the whole 10 days I was there. That’s bedside manner like I’ve never seen before, and that’s what I do like. The entire team at in motion has the ability to engage and connect with patients, they’re able to explain everything, you understand and aren’t left in the dark about anything, they make you feel like a priority when visiting the office, everyone is very experienced in what they do, and they pay attention to detail. Over the past few months when experiencing malfunctions with my Prosthetics, quite often I’m able to go in the office the next day and have the problem resolved professionally, and promptly. AOD gave me what I needed. I now have surprising control control which is allowing me to be more functionable than I ever have before. Their work has allowed me to keep my Independence.

I am writing to tell you how wonderful you are! If you hadn't posted the Turbo AFO videos on Youtube, I would not be experiencing the fantastic feeling I have when walking now. When I saw the video, I was really in a quandary about what to do. I have CMT and have worn braces for 20 years. Most of that time in the traditional AFOs and then more recently in the carbon fiber toe-offs. These just didn't work for me because I had very little support and they actually made me turn my foot inward which caused stone bruises on my heels. I was going back to my orthotist to get fitted for the traditional AFOs again.

I started researching online and was very interested in Marmaduke's braces. I called him and he was a wonderful resource and really gave me hope that there was something out there that could really help me. But, of course, they are extremely expensive and insurance help is iffy.

So I kept looking, and then I saw your video. I immediately thought this might be it for me. I talked to my orthotist, Jake Bentley in Hiram, GA, who watched the videos then called and talked to you. Long story short. . . he made the braces and I have truly not walked this well in 30 years! I really feel that propulsion forward, and I have the feeling of walking on a cloud. My gait is better than ever (almost normal if I dare say).
I am a member of the CMT Atlanta Support Group, and I am so excited to show off my new Turbo braces at our next meeting. I know many members will be interested in this new design that has truly changed my life. I have my confidence back, and I'm not struggling to keep my balance with every step.
